Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, USA, with regional offices in Hong Kong, SAR, and Dhaka, Bangladesh, and full-time staff in Europe, India, Latin America, and Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia), Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) is an independent, objective, non-profit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing around the world through certification and education. WRAP is the World’s Largest Factory-Based Certification Programme for Manufacturers of Clothing, Footwear, and other Sewn Products. Set up in 2000, WRAP is the World’s Largest Labour and Environmental Certification Programme for Labour-Intensive Consumer Products Manufacturing and Processing. WRAP’s primary activity is the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production Certification Program. WRAP is the largest independent facility certification program in the world focused on apparel, footwear, and sewn products. We issue three levels of certification that are valid from six months to two years based on a facility's compliance with WRAP's 12 Principles. WRAP’s Principles are based on generally accepted international workplace standards, local laws and workplace regulations, and include the spirit or language of relevant conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)’s Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. Having a WRAP certification shows potential buyers that you are dedicated to ethical and responsible business standards.
