Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a systematic, science-based method used to evaluate the environmental impacts associated with all stages of a product’s life — from raw material extraction (“cradle”) to manufacturing, distribution, use, and end-of-life disposal or recycling (“grave”). LCA is globally recognised as one of the most comprehensive tools for measuring environmental performance, and it plays a central role in sustainability decision-making, eco-design, and regulatory compliance.
